On January 20, 2019, in Hai Duong City, the Special Education Center of Hai Duong collaborated with Sultan Idris University of Education and the Korean Brain Science Institute to organize a workshop on “NEURO FEEDBACK FOR SEN CHILDREN” – Neurofeedback in therapy for children with special educational needs.
The workshop was attended by two keynote speakers:
– Dr. Kway Eng Hock – Sultan Idris University of Education – Malaysia;
– Dr. Shiw Shin Yeen – Expert in Neuroscience, Korean Brain Science Institute, and colleagues.
And the participation of all staff and teachers of the Special Education Center of Hai Duong; Preschool teachers, elementary school teachers, special education teachers, medical staff, young parents, and individuals interested in special education for children.
The workshop featured two main topics:
1. Application of Neurofeedback in therapy for children with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, school-related psychological disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, etc.
2. Parental guidance on supporting children at home.
In the afternoon session, experts conducted brainwave measurements for two cases currently enrolled in the center and provided counseling for parents.
At the end of a day filled with information and knowledge, teachers and parents understood the importance of assessment, early detection, support methods, and intervention for children.
